UNDEFENDED DIVORCE
MUTUAL SEPARATION NEITHER PARTY PRESENT An unusual feature of a divorce action heard this morning in the Supreme Court was that neither party was present, evidence being taken by affidavit. Petitioner was John Duke Hamilton (Mr. Matthews), motor salesman, of Sydney. Hlsie Hamilton was respondent. Petitioner stated that the parties had been separated by mutual consent for more than three years. They were married in Wellington in 1921. There were no children. The petition was first issued in Gisborne in 1935.
His Honour Mr. Justice MacGregor granted a decree to be moved absolute in three months.
