POWER PROFITS
CHRISTCHURCH MAKES £22,518 Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. A gross profit of £22,515, on a total revenue of £194,037, was made by the Municipal Electricity Department during the year ended on March 31 last. The maximum load in this period increased by 26 per cent, from 8,073 k.w. to 10.43 S k.w., this being- partly due to the freedom from restrictions and a knowledge that an adequate supply was, for the time being, available with the putting into operation of the extensions at Lake Coleridge. The number of consumers showed a six per cent. Increase, from 26,438 to 28,024.
