FIRE-FIGHTERS’ DANCE AT RAETIHI
There was an attendance of nearly 200 at the Raetihi Fire Brigade’s annual ball held in the Druid’s Hall, Raetihi. The hall was appropriately decorated with firemen’s axes, helmets and hose adorning the walls. The Ohakune brigade was represented by Fireman Nation and visitors from several centres were present. The confetti, spot waltzes and the Monte Carlo competitions caused great interest, and a very enjoyable dance programme was presented. Superintendent T. Langdon and Deputy-Superintendent Rose acted as M.C.'s. The music supplied by the Peerless Trio Orchestra was greatly appreciated. Mr. C. Plank supplied the extras. The function was higly successful, and the proceeds will be devoted to the working uniform fund.
