CCENE: Hamilton Supreme Court. Cast: Mr. Justice Blair, and Albert Edward Poole, labourer, Te Kuiti. His Honour: Do you know what a syndicate is? Witness: It’s a thing something like a company, ain’t it? ( Loud laughter.) His Honour: Well, I’m not quite sure of the definition myself and I wondered what you thought it was. Witness: It’s when a lot of blokes have a hand in a thing, your Honour. That's a syndicate. ( Laughter.)
