MOUNT EDEN FIRE

EIGHT-ROOMED HOUSE GUTTED An eight-roomed house at No. 20 Woodford Road, Mount Eden, was badly damaged by fire early this morning. The Mount Eden Fire Brigade received the call at 3.15 a.m., and although it was promptly on the scene the fire had a good hold and the inside of the house was gutted before the outbreak was extinguished. The house is owned by Mr. G. T. Houlahan.
