TRAWLER LIMITS

REVIEW OF RESTRICTIONS Fishermen are to talk with the Secretary of Marine, Mr. G. C. Godfrey, this afternoon on the existing limits for the operations of trawlers and for the use of Danish seine nets. The chief inspector of fisheries. Mr. A. E. Hefford, will also attend the conference. It is possible that the present limits will be altered. Mr. Godfrey said yesterday that when the existing limits were imposed the department made it clear to fishermen that they were subject to the right of the department to review the position after its experts had had the opportunity of carrying out further research work and general investigation.
