AN “AT HOME
LEWIS EADY’S STAFF
The new Lewis Eady Hall made a brilliant picture last evening. Members of the firm of Lewis Eady*, Ltd., were “At Home,” and hundreds of guests thronged the cream and gold hall, which was made more attractive by softly-shaded rose lights. Across the ballroom stretched rows of floating balloons, and here and there through the hall were attractive miniature trees in tubs. The mirrorer windows along one side reflected the gay scene. Those who did not care to dance to the exhilarating music of Shorland’s Orchestra played cards in a lounge upstairs. Supper was served in the studio. An energetic committee, consisting of Air. N. R. Blomfield (secretary). Air. Turner, Air. A. Don. Aliss R. Ballantyne, and Aliss D. Hamilton were responsible for the success of the evening. Two qmusing sketches were presented during the evening. They were “The Eternal Triangle,” by Aliss D. Taylor, Mr. G. Aloody, and Mr. J. Gordon, and the second, “Tooth for a Tooth,” was played by Aliss L. Ballantyne, Aliss D. Taylor, Messrs. J. Gordon, G. Aloody, and D. Turner. Ingall’s Hawaiian Orchestra contributed some charming numbers, and Mr. Alan AlcElwain delighted everyone with his amusing recitations and monologues. Mr. Colin Shorter and Aliss Irma o Connor gave a demonstration of the r ale Blue's.
