THAMES GIRLS’ CLUB

The monthly meeting of the Thames Girls’ Club, Incorporated, was held on Tuesday afternoon in the club-room, Druids’ Hall, Newton, when 60 of the members were given a most instructive address by Dr. Buckley Turking-

The president, Mrs. P. McGregor, occupied the chair, and also present were Mrs. A. D. Campbell, Mayoress, and Mrs. G. R. Hutchinson. A musical programme was provided by Alosdames Davies and Wright, Miss McGregor and Mr. Robinson.

The forthcoming At Home to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the opening of the Thames goldfields was freely discussed during the afternoon.
