OCCIDENTAL UNA. —The following wire was received from the manager yesterday; “Have struck the Loyalty Reef; country looks well. Reef two feet wide; secured dabs and colours.”

ALBURN I A.—The manager reports as follows:—“A further distance of lift has been driven on the dropper going north, making a total distance of 433 ft to date. The leader, which is averaging from 9in to lOin in width, has a good appearance, showing some very good mineral and a little silica. The country rock encasing the reef is of a splendid description.” OH IN EMU Rl.—The superintendent reports as follows:—North section, during the past fortnight the Telluride level has been extended 47ft, making a total distance of 2,076 feet. The hanging wall of the main reef system should be reached 50ft furthr eastward. The country is of a distinctly favourable nature. The north drive has been extended 45ft, making the total distance SSlft from the Silverstream cross-cut. This drive is being carried along on the footwall country towards the junction of the Silverstream reefs, which should be approached in another 35ft of driving. The present face is 155 ft southward of the line of the telluride level extension. In the South section the “E” crosscut is out 245 ft. Inis work has been suspended temporarily to enable operations to be resumed on the Camoola reef going southward from the “F” crosscut, where a sulphide vein is being followed. This is a con,0!? block opened up for milling 480 ft farther south. The experiments to determine the method of treatment to be adopted have proved highly satisfactory, and the preliminaries for the lemodelling of the cyanide ulant are well m hand.
