TE KUITI INTERESTS
The vital statistics for Te Kuiti for May are: Births, 9: deaths, 4: marriage by registrar, 1; marriage notices 3. A demonstration with the new grader, recently purchased by the Waitomo County Council, was given at the 5-mile peg on the Te Kuiti-Pio Pio Road this week. About nine chains of the road was scarified and graded in little over an hour. The grader was purchased through the Main Highways Board at a cost of £845. The vast savins possible over the old pick and shovel methods was convincingly demonstrated.
