WEDDING BELLS

JOLLY—MILLS A wedding of much interest to many people in the Hamilton district was that of Violet Ida, second daughter of Mrs. G. A. Mills, of Wellington, to Thomas Dudley, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jolly, of Frankton. The ceremony took place at St. Paul’s ProCathedral, Wellington, on Monday evening at 7 o’clock. The Ven. Archdeacon Johnson performed the ceremony. The bride was wearing an exquisite f.rock of briar rose georgette, the tight-fitting bodice being attached to a full fluted skirt. With it she wore an embroidered tulle veil and carried a delightfully blended bouquet of cyclamen and roses. She was attended by Miss Natalie Ramsay and Miss Violet Jolly, who wore becoming frocks of beige marietta made with a cape effect, and having long satin bows reaching below the hem-line. Their floral head-dresses were of softly-tinted flowers, and their beautiful bouquets of autumn flowers and leaves. Mr. Graham Mills, of Ngahinepouri, brother of the bride, gave her away, and Mr. Geoff Beale and Mr. A. Reed attended the bridegroom. After the ceremony a reception was held at Mrs. Mills's residence in Hill Street. Mrs. Mills received her guests, wearing a smart frock of black georgette, with touches of scarlet. Mrs. F. Jolly was in a black georgette and lace gown. Other guests present included Mrs. Wood (Christchurch), sister of the bride; Mrs. Graham Mills, sister-in-law; Mrs. Williams (Hawke's Bay), aunt of the bride; and Miss Williams Mrs. R. Worley (Hamilton) and Miss Fran Jolly (Hamilton), sisters of the bridegroom.

Later Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Jolly left on a motor trip throughout the North Island, before going to their home at Wharepuhunga.
