The ceremony was conducted by Father M. Furlong. The bride wore a very pretty frock of beige and ivory crepe de chine with hat to tone. Mrs. Alison Gilbert was matron-of-honour and wore a frock of shell pink crepe de chine. They both carried bouquets of white heather and maiden hair fern. Mr. Alf. Gilbert was best man. The wedding march was played by Miss P Lugton. A reception held at the residence of Mrs. Callander, 12 King Edward Parade, Devonport, was attended by about fifty guests.
