VAGRANT’S WASTED INGENUITY ‘TINDER” OF LOST PROPERTY Although he evolved a novel scheme for raising money, Thomas Angus, aged 4S, had no profit from it. He pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to a charge of being a rogue and vagabond in that he attempted to impose for the purpose of obtaining a benefit. “His scheme was a novel one,” said Chief-Detective Hammond. He answered loss advertisements in the papers, suggesting that he would forward the articles after covering expenses had been sent to him.” “Pie is harmless,” said Mr. Hammond, “and has not been in trouble for some time.” Angus was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence any time within six months.
