1,000 YEARS OLD (From Our Own Correspondent) WANGANUI, Wednesday. A Wanganui surveyor searching Nukumaru for an old trig station unearthed a hangi or Maori oven made of stone. Considered by the depth and the formation of loam on sand covering it the hangi must be at least 1,000 years old.
