New Zealand Pigs: Better trade owing to colder weather. New Zealand Baconer Pigs: Better inquiry owing to improvement in bacon prices. TARANAKI OILFIELDS Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. The Taranaki C 1 fids, Ltd., reports that the Gisborne •. 1 well is down ! 2,870 ft in a very soft shale with 'a \in i diameter easing to 2,S6oit. The Gisborne i No. 2 well is down to 545 ft in shade, then j ==arid and shale, and the last 30ft in hard j sand, a total of 600 ft. A 12tin diameter | casing is down to 360 ft.
