TOBACCONIST’S RAIDED

ALLEGED. GAMING HOUSE THREE OTHER MEN ARRESTED (Special to THB SUN) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. As the result of a raid on a tobacconist’s shop in Stratford yesterday afternoon. Detective Meiklejohn arrested Ernest Alexander- Johnston, tobacconist, and three other persons. They appeared in the Police Court before a Justice of the Peace, and were remanded on bail until June 1. Johnston was charged with being the keeper of a common gaming house and the others with being found in a common gaming house.
