LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

ONEHUNGA BRANCH At the meeting of the Onehunga League of Mothers on Thursday a very successful Bring and Buy Sale was held. Over 60 members were present and a much appreciated musical programme was presented, Mesdames Syges, Sibun and Millar being the soloists. The president, Mrs. Benfell, gave a short talk on open-air schools, stressing the fact that where these have been tried the result has been freedom from colds and general improvement in the health of the children. Auckland, with its splendid climate, should be able to show even better results than Canterbury, where 17 schools are fully or partly open-air.
