LEAP YEAR BALL

LODGE FUNCTION A very successful Leap Y r ear ball was held at Pukekohe on Thursday evening, under the auspices of Lodge Betliesda Rebekah, Independent Order of Oddfellows. The attendance was exceptionally large, the floor being thronged with dancers throughout the evening. The decorative scheme comprised streamers, flowers and nikau palms, and was artistically arranged. The Dixieland Internationals supplied the music and various exhibition dances were performed by Aliss Yvonne Arlen and Air. Colin Shorter, both of Auckland. The attendant duties of mistresses of ceremonies were undertaken by Sisters Nightingale, T. Duncan, AI. Sellar, Scoon, Horne, Alorris, L. O’Connor, N. Hawke and L. Perkins.
