FEILDING STOCK SALE
FAT LAMBS MAKE TO 42/Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale to-day there was an average yarding of sheep, comprising breeding ewes, store wethers and lambs, and also a full yarding of fat sheep. There was a keen demand for all classes of sheep, with prices in favour of Fat lambs made from 23s 6d to 42s for extra heavy woolly lambs; fat wethers, 36s 6d to 37s 6d; fat black-faced twotooths, 36s 6d; heavy fat ewes, 28s 3d to 30s; breeding ewes, four and five-year, running with Southdown rams, 32s to 38s; five-year-old ewes, 28s; aged ewes, 225; two-tooth ewes, 37s 8d; good woolly ewe lambs, from 28s 3d to 375; small, 15s 6d; good mixed sex iambs, 26s 6d; fat forward ewes, 23s 9d. There was a small yarding of cattle, with a keen demand for dairy stock and fat cattle. Store bullocks were slightly easier. Springing heifers brough £5 10s to £l3; cows, calving factory dates, £3 10s to £l2 10s: store cows, £3 10s to £5; Jersey weaners, heifers, £2 16s to £5 10s; Polled Angus yearling heifers, £3 15s; fat cows. £4 15s to £8 14s; fat bullocks, £ll Ss 6d; 35-year Hereford store bullocks, £S 15s to £9 10s.
