VERNON PEDIGREE STOCK SALE Keen interest was taken in the annual sale at the \ ernon stud Jersey farm owned by Messrs. G. R. and H. Hutching son, at Wharepapa, near Helensville, yesterday- Top price of 35gns. was paid by Miss L. R. Court for the three-vear neifer Poplarvale Bell Bird. Two other cows realised 30gns. each, while a specially promising heifer by the imported sue Xenia’s Succession was purchased by S. I. Crookes at the same figure. Included in the catalogue was a choice offering of ten cows and heifers on account of W. T. S. Wilson, Otahuhu, and three lots on account of J. B. Tonar and Son, Northcote. The principal sales of cows and heifers were: Poplarvale Bell Bird, 35gns., purchased by Miss E. R. Court, Birkenhead; Fernarg Girl, 30gns., J. Drinnan, Kaukapakapa; Vernon’s Eenia’s Echo, SOgns., S. I. oCrokes, Auckland; Vernon’s Golden Girl, 30gns., Major Anderson, Cambridge; Vernon Myrtle, 25gns., S. I. Crookes, Auckland; Viola’s Peeress Clarionette, 25gns., L. Walters, Helensville; Vernon Bodlen Clydie, 25gns., S. I. Crookes, Auckland; Vernon Golden Winnie, 24gns., Miss E. R. Court, Birkenhead; Burrwood’s Jessie, 24gns., Wright, Stephenson and Company, as agents; Vernon Golden Ginger, 225gn5., Miss E. R. Court; Otterburn Ladylike, 23gns., S. I. Crookes; Vernon Chan ling Primrose, 20gns., G. C. Best, Helensville; Vernon’s Xenia Foxglove, 19gns., M. Maras, Huarau; Oakvale’s Echo, 17gns., E. J. Woodcock, Woodcocks: Leighhurst Naughty, 21gns., S. Phillips, Wharepapa. The bulls offered averaged 17gns.. the principal sales being: Vernon Pop Eyes, 30gns., Major Anderson, Cambridge; Vernon Echo’s Triumph, 22gns., J. McKay, Helensyille; Vernon Eenia’s A.mbition, 20gns., E. G. Phillips, I-lelensville; Vernon Pe tune’s Triumph, 16gns.. T. YY Narby, Helensville; Vernon Ginger Mick, 14gns., IT. McMurdo, Parakai. Mr. Wilson’s offering brought an average of 14gns., and those from Messrs. Tonar and Son 26gns. . _ .
