The delegates to the annual conference of the Postal Workers’ Union unanimously passed a resolution condemning secret negotiations designed to hand over State-owned wireless to private interests. They demanded that the Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin, should announce that the Government would not permit such a transfer. The mover of the resolution said the beam service had competed so successfully with other communications that foreign and other financial interests were anxious to secure it.
