The “Weekly Dispatch” states that negotiations are almost concluded for a merger between Gaumont, Limited, and the General Theatre Corporation, involving a capital exceeding £8,000,000, to control 200 theatres and music-halls throughout the country. It will be the largest cinema or variety combine in Europe.
