SHUNTING MISHAP

VAN LEAVES THE RAILS During shunting operations at the Auckland Railway Station on Saturday afternoon a guard’s van was shunted a little too far and struck the concrete emergency stop. The two rear wheels of the van left the rails but were replaced this morning. Practically no damage was done, except a broken hose pipe.
