AIRSHIP ALIGHTS ON MOVING STEAMER
TAKES OFF WITH MAILS (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association.) Received 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Friday. A non-rigid Army airship, 200 ft long, to-day settled on one of the United States Shipping Board's steamers in three minutes. It picked up sacks of mail and again took to the air and flew back to the Lakehurst hangar. The steamer continued on its course throughout the operation without halting.
The chairman of the Shipping Board, Mr. O’Connor, says in his opinion it will soon be possible to exchange passengers in the same way.
