PUNTERS who wonder what 1 becomes of their money may be interested -to know that of £5,615,128 invested on the totalisator in the eight months ended March last, £4,772,331 was paid in dividends. The Government took £415,119 in taxes on investments, dividends and stakes and the clubs had £449,696. Compared with 1927, there was an increase in the number of race , days and therefore an all-round increase for the period. In 1927, £5,608,999 was invested and £4,769,211 paid * out in dividends.
