CANDIDATES FOR BAY OF PLENTY MR. D. C. CHALMERS CHOSEN (From Our Own Correspondent) TATJRANGA, To-day. Branches of the Labour Party in the Tauranga electorate have selected Mr. D. C. Chalmers, solicitor at Whakatane, as their candidate at the forthcoming elections. Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P., will stand again for the Reform Party. It is rumoured that Mr. B. Dive will carry the United Party’s lable. It is also expected that the Country Party will nominate a candidate. Mr. Fiest is addressing meetings in different parts of the electorate with the object of organising the farmers.
