EXPENSIVE SPEEDING CASES AT OTAHUHU Many motorists appeared in the Otahuhu Police Court yesterday before Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M. For exceeding the speed limit a motorcyclist, Richard Keith Land, was fined £1 and costs 10s. For driving motor-cars at excessive speeds on the Great South Road the following were fined £2 and costs:—George Craw, H. A. Dunn, M. C. E. Dell, Percy Edmond Ross, George Wyatt; £4 and costs 10s was entered against Charles an hour. S. E. Sutton was ordered to pay 10s costs for touching 35 miles an hour. For failing to drive round the traffic domes at the junction of East Tamaki and Great South Road, Walter James Urquhart, William Moir and Horace Southgate were each fined £1 and costs. Pillion riding cost Patrick Finnell 10s costs. On a second charge of carrying two persons on a motor-cycle not properly equipped he was fined £1 and 10s costs. Overtaking another car on a bend, and travelling on the wrong side of the road, cost Lionel Wilkinson £1 and costs. For the negligent driving of a motor-car Raymond Norman Paris had to pay £2 and costs 16s. A. Sinclair was ordered to pay 10s costs for crossing a railway level crossing in front of an approaching train. William Wilson had to pay 10s costs for allowing a motor-car to stand after sunset without lights. For assaulting Harry Lane, a driver for the Motor Transport Company, Leslie Hooker, a stockdriver, was fined 10ft and costs 365. M. tfjikovich was fined £2 and costs 10s for failing to remove a tempnrarv dwelling, which does not comply with til® Mount Wellington by-laws. For riding a motor-cycle without his on the handle bars, Raymoiid Whitten was ordered to pay costs Reginald Froude was fined 10s and costs 12s for riding a motor-cycle with® out a driver’s licence, and for reckless rid mg was convicted and ordered to pay 12s costs. • J
