LIQUOR ABOLITION

ALLIANCE CONFERENCE TO-MORROW The New Zealand Alliance, having as its platform the abolition of th© liquor traffic by direct vote of the people, will hold its annual conference in Auckland to-morrow. The conference will be open to all who accept the platform, including members, delegates and visitors, and will be held at Unity Hall, Queen Street. Sessions will commence at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and there is a fairly lengthy order paper. Mr. W. R. Tuck, retiring president, will preside at the opening. Mr. J. W. Court has been nominated as president for the ensuing year.
