Horahora Normal Again. The trouble at the Horahora hydro-electric works has been remedied by the mechanical scraper being placed in position again, and the position is now normal.

Hamilton Theatre Robbery.—No a - rest has yet been made in connection with the sensational robbery and assault of the caretaker at the Strand Theatre.

Boardinghouse Burned. —On Wednesday night, an unoccupied house in Kltham near New Plymouth. on<used as a boardinghouse, was destroyed by fire. The alarm was giv e too late for the brigade to do anything.

Killed By a Log.—At an inquest held at Whangarei yesterday concerning the death of James Henry Russek. who was killed by a log rolling on him st the Akarana railway station, a verdict of accidental death was returned.

Paper Strike Over.—The Swedish Consul-General at Sydney advises Mr Martin, Consul for New eZaland. that most of the pulp paper mills and saw mills in Sweden, which closed down some months ago owing to labour disputes, are resuming work this week. —Press Assn-
