STRANDED MIGRANT

STEALS FROM LANDLADY NO FRIENDS IN N.Z. After being one month in the Dominion, Thomas Thompson, an immigrant, stood in the Police Court dock to-day. He was charged with stealing 25s from Dorothy Robcke. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused had been but a month in New Zealand. He was out of work and friendless, and had stolen the money from his boardinghousekeeper. He was remanded for a week in care of the Salvation Army.
