FUNERAL OF CRICKETER ATTENDED BY 100,900
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A. —United Service) LONDON, Wednesday. “A Yorkshire wicket has fallen and one of Yorkshire’s best batsmen is out,” said the rector of Wombwell in his address to the congregation at Mr. Roy Kiiner’s funeral. Wombwell was Mr. Kiiner’s birthplace. The total of the population is 20,000, but 100,000 people attended the funeral. Deceased’s team colleagues acted as pall-bearers. Many prominent cricketers were present.
