MELVIN—BURNS
A gown of golden taffeta was worn by the maid who attended Janet, the only daughter of Mrs. R. Burns, of Dominion Road, when she was married by the Rev. J. Lamb Harvey at St. Andrew’s Church yesterday afternoon to George, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Melvin, of Aberdeen, Scotland. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. A. Burns, and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. R. Bums as best man. Ivory georgette fashioned the wedding frock, and was deftly inset with silver lace draperies. A trail of orange
blossom was caught at the low waistline and orange blossom held the bride’s long tulle veil mt place. She carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Miss Gertrude Logie, of Dunedin, acted as bridesmaid, dressed in gold taffeta bordered with georgette. She wore a wreath of tiny gold and silver flowers and a short veil of gold tulle. Her bouquet was of bronze-gold chrysanthemums.
