Her tulle 1 veil was caught with orange blossom. I and she carried a beautiful bouquet. j Miss Mavis Holoroyd attended her, I wearing a frock of powder blue taffetas with insets of silver lace. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. | A little flower girl, Miss Edna Cox. j sister of the bride, was wearing a j pretty frock of cream crepe de chine i and a little cap of pink tulle. She j carried a bouquet of pink and white i chrysantheraus. Mr. Angus McGregor acted as oesc man. A reception was held at the resi- j dence of Mrs. McGregor, where Mr. and } Mrs. Cox received the guests. The bride’s mother wore a frock of leaf-green crepe de chine and a black j silk coat and bat. The mother of the bridegroom wore a smart ensemble of navy blue crepe de chine. Among those present were: Mrs. Admiral, who wore a frock of fawn silk crepe trimmed with lace. Miss L. Hutton, in pink georgette with furs and black velvet hat. Miss T. Vercoe, who wore phlox pink taffetas with silver lace. Miss Crabb, mignonette green crepe de chine, trimmed with silver beads. Miss R. Hutton, wearing a heliotrope crepe faille frock. Mrs. Cuthbert wore a frock of cameo j pink silk crepe. Miss E. Edwards, in a powder blue { satin frock. Miss X. Leyland. salmon-pink crepe de chine, trimmed with beads, Mrs. Scarborough, who wore pale green crepe de chine. Mrs. B. Lee, in cedar brown crepe inset with lace. Mrs. Best, black silk taffetas frock. Miss M. Greer, black crepe de chine, trimmed with Oriental lace. Miss Peckham, frock of shell-pink taf- j fetas, panelled with lace. Mrs. Russell, black crepe de chine, with floral silk relief. . Mrs. Freeson, a leaf-green frock with j fawn coloured hat. SCOTT—BECKER A very pretty wedding of much local interest was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church, at Raetihi, on Saturday afternoon, between Miss Gladys Ruby Becker, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Becker, and Mr. Cyril Irdale Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Scott, of Raetihi. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. H. Datson. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a dress of white crepe de chine, with embroidered veil and orange blossoms. Miss Iren« Becker, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, was prettily dressed in blue crepe de chine, with gold lace, and wore a hat to tone. Both carried beautiful bouquets. Mr. Len Brown acted as best man. The bride’s mother wore beige rose crepe de chine, with a smart fawn hat. hat. After the ceremony the bride’s parents held a reception at the Druids' Hall. The honeymoon will be spent in Auckland. The bride’s travelling dress was of blue repp saxe, trimmed with grey crepe de chine, with hat and shoes to match.
