YOUNG GIRL SUCCUMBS CLOTHING STOLEN IN SHOP The lure of a drapery sale was too strong for a girl, aged 17, yesterday. \yiTH head bowed, she appeared at the Police Court to-day and pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing clothing valued at £3 4s 6d. Chief-Detective Hammond said that the girl went to a sale yesterday and put the stolen goods into a bag. “She comes of respectable parents,” lie said, “and it seems to be a case of yielding to sudden temptation.” The case was adjourned for three months. During that time she will be under supervision.
