BUSY AMANULLAH

ENGAGEMENT CANCELLED By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Tuesday. King Amanullah of Afghanistan did not attend a performance at the Coliseum last evening. It was reported that he was prevented from doing so by urgent State business. Another explanation was his Majesty’s desire to deal with a heavy mail from Afghanistan before starting on his provincial tour. The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan is at present in Paris en route to Kabul. It is explained that he is returning for health reasons.—A. and N.Z.
