TROUBLE AT AMOY NAVAL MEN CHASE PICKETS Press Association. I Reed. 9.15 a.m. SHANGHAI. Tues. An anti-Japanese boycott and intensified feeling at Amoy has necessitated additional naval protection. Strike pickets preventing shipping activities, and attempting to seize all ; cargo landed, resulted in a serious i conflict with Japanese naval men. . The Japanese had previously notified the Chinese authorities that the pickets would be treated as pirates in the event of their seizing the cargoes | of Japanese vessels. i A lighter seized by pickets was chased by a launch containing Japan- : ese naval men.
