FIRST AID FOR SPORTSMEN
SCHEME FOR NORTH SHORE The sports organisations at Devonport are being invited to form a first aid unit under the St. John Ambulance Brigade, so that the city organisations may be relieved of the task of staffing the North Shore playing, fields on sports days. Speaking at the North Shore Rugby Union meeting last evening' at Devonport, Captain Redmond commended the scheme. The work carried out by the brigade was splendid, he said, and the spirit of self-sacrifice exhibited by the men manning the sports fields was worthy of the highest commendation. The St. John Brigade Ims undertaken to supply instructors and to train efficiently the North Shore sportsmen who enrol for service.
