PAPATOETOE CLUB
FULL RINK TOURNAMENT
A very successful full-rink tourney was held on the Papatoetoe Bowling Green yesterday, when 24 teams, representing clubs as far South as Pukekohe, participated. The popularity of the tournaments conducted by this club is evidenced by the fact that they were not able to accommodate all the teams who wished to take part and the officers of the club have been approached to stage another tourney before the present season finishes. Following are the results of the play; A Section. —Franklin (Papatoetoe), * 4 wins, 1 loss; R. P. Hill (Papatoetoe), 4 wins, 1 loss; De Launay (Epsom), 3 wins, 2 losses; Hayden (Takapuna), 3 wins, 2 losses; Armstrong (Pukekohe), 3 wins, 2 losses; Sykes (Otahuhu), 3 wins, 2 losses; Koefoed (St. Heliers), 2} wins, 2} losses; Willcox (Pjfpatoetoe), 2} wins, 2} losses; Tanner (Epsom), 3 wins, 2 losses; Russell (Remuera), 1 win, 4 losses; Hollier (Mangere), 1 win, 4 losses; Crawford (Papatoetoe), 1 win, 4 losses. B Section.—Rawnsley (Papatoetoe), 4 wins, 1 loss; Hanna (Takapuna), 4 wins, 1 loss; Hyde (Clevedon), 3 wins, 2 losses; Duffln (Carlton), 3 wins, 2 losses; Haslam (Rawhiti), 3 wins, 2 losses; Johnson (Howick), 2} wins, 2} losses; Sigley (Mangere), 2} wins, 2} losses; Graham (Clevedon). 2 wins, 3 losses; Nairn (Mt. Eden), 2 wins, 3 losses; Pegler (Manure wa), 1 win, 4 losses; Hall (Papatoetoe), 1 win, 4 losses; Keith (Pukekohe), 1 win, 4 losses. On the aggregate points scored Waters, Watson, Knight, Franklin (Papatoetoe) won the A section, and Buckton, Thomas, Lucena, Rawnsley (Papatoetoe) won the B section. The final will be played at Papatoetoe on Saturday.
