HARBOUR WATERS FAIL IN ANALYSIS

BATHS INQUIRY RESULTS The Baths Committee of the City Council has discovered that its difficulties in securing clean water for the waterfront baths may have only commenced. It has found that the harbour waters are not all they might be in more places than one. Doctors Moir and Be van Brown have been engaged in analysing water from various points, and though some water was good, other samples were quite unsatisfactory. The doctors have therefore been a-sked to confer with the city engineer and sanitary inspector and make chemical and bacteriological investigation. No indication can be given as to when Parnell Baths will be re-opened.
