LANDMARK DESTROYED
FiRE AT OAMARU Press Association. O AMARU. To-day. Fire destroyed the residence of Mr. John Taylor at 3 a.m. to-day. The building was a two-storey stme structure and was a familiar landmark in Oamaru for over half a century. Only the stone walls remain. The furniture, including two pianos, was destroyed. Insurances are not available. . , Mr. and Mrs. Taylor are on holiday at Palmerston North, and other members of the family are staying with friends, and have not been in the home since Saturday-
