ASSOCIATION FORMED

Settlers in the Atiamuri district have decided to form a Settlers’ Association. Mr. W. J. Parsons was elected chairman and Mr. H. L. Kingsbury appointed secretary. It was decided to ask the Rotorua County Council to form the road at the six-mile peg on the Atiamuri Road, leading to Wharanaki Road, so that the land which is subdivided can be thrown open for selection. The chairman was appointed to make the necessary arrangement in connection with the visit of the Minister of Lands, the Hon. A. D. McLeod. The Auckland Education Board is to be asked to provide material for a school and the settlers will erect the building.
