ROTORUA BANDS

DISCORD IN RANKS RESTORING HARMONY (From Our Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, To-day. Rotorua has two excellent bands, and their efforts are greafcly appreciated by residents and visitors, yet strange to say there is discord in their ranks. •Not that they lack in music; as a matter of fact some of the bandsmen are so musical that they belong to both bands. Occasionally it happens that both bands have engagements on the same day. As it becomes a case of ‘‘How happy could I be with either,” there is frequently disagreements among members of the bands. In order to restore harmony, the Arawa Symphony Orchestra has invited the Rotorua Brass Band to a round-table conference, to discuss a way out of the difficulty, and unless there happens to be only one drummer, there should be little trouble in doing so.
