LUNA PARK REVELS

LAST EVENING’S JUDGING Luna Park carnival was continued last evening, when there was a large attendance, mainly attracted by the gigantic fireworks display. The set pieces in particular evoked loud applause, while the fountains of fire and the golden cascades were also most spectacular. The third session of the national dancing competition was completed, and judging was continued in the best native dress competition in the women’s and men’s classes. In addition to the extra attractions of the carnival the permanent amusements of the park once again delighted the revellers, who were waiting in crowds for turns on the scenic railway and the “Dodge ’Ems.” Last night’s judging resulted as follows: Sword Dance. —A. Docherty, 1; Maisie Dickenson, 2; Gladys Cain and Louraine Cunningham, 3. Scentriau.—Edna Pitzgibbins, 1; Annie Saran, 2; May Akersten, 3.
