MR. HOLLAND AT WESTPORT
PRE-SESSIONAL ADDRESS Press Association. WESTPORT, Saturday. Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P., leader of the Opposition, delivered a pre-ses-sional address in front of the Town Hail last evening, dealing among other things, with the Buller Gorge Railway, coastal road, unemployment, the Imperial Conference, rural credits, land and income tax, the petrol tax, a loan to the Radio Broadcasting Company, the Singapore naval base, local industries and tariffs, the I.C. and A Act, the coming industrial coherence, and Samoa, the latter on the lines of his pamphlet, “The Revolt of the Samoans/’ At the conclusion of his address a vote of thanks was accorded to the speaker and !•» the Mayor, Mr. Harkncss, who presided.
