DEPARTMENTAL EDICT BOARD MUST BUILD (From Our Own Correspondent) THAMES, To-day. Dr. Valintine, Director-General of Hospitals, has notified the Thames Hospital Board that unless they proceed with the erection of a maternity annexe at Paeroa immediately his department will have one built and charge the cost to the Thames Hospital Board. The matter is being discussed at the Hospital Board’s meeting It is understood the board will strenuously oppose the Government request.
