KEEN BILLIARDS

MCCONACHY’S NARROW WIN

O’DONOGHUE’S FINE DISPLAY

Playing consistently well, with a fine break of 107, E. O’Donogh je, the Green Lane billiard champion, ran Clark McConachy to a very close finish in a match at Mr. Jensen’s saloon at Green Lane last evening. McConachy, conceding 400 in 750, played his fine game, reeling off breaks of 331 and 126. His top of the table play, which is the feature of his game, was very fine. The local man, however, kept, the champion very busy, McConachy eventually winning by a few points only. A game of snooker was then played, O’Donoghue securing a well deserved win. McConachy** next exhibition will be against E. V. Roberts, the New Zealand amateur champion, on Tuesday next.
