THE COUNTRY PARTY

MORRINSVILLE MEETING A very enthusiastic meeting of the Country Party, held in the Town Hall, was attended by 70 delegates from the several branches of the Farmers’ Union in the Waikato. It was decided to contest the Waikato seat at the general election this year. Mr. R. Feisst reported that 34 branches had already been established and that further branches were being formed. Arrangements were made for the election of a council to consist of a representative from each branch. A large sum of money was received from enthusiastic supporters. Votes of thanks were passed to the chairman and the organiser.
