TAESPITE the falling off in the totalisator receipts at the Otahuhu fixture, the meeting was a great success. and proved thoroughly enjoyable. The various officials ar e to be congratulated on the excellent manner in which the arrangements were carried out, the success of the function being in great measure due to the co-operation displayed in this respect. A special word of praise is due to the courteous and untiring secretary, Mr. R. L. Absolum, who was the pivot of the team.
