BANKRUPT SOLICITOR
DISCHARGE GRANTED CONCERNED IN RACING Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. In the Supreme Court to-day an application for an order for discharge from bankruptcy was made by Herbert Kirk McDougall, a solicitor. Bankrupt appeared in person, and detailed the manner of his financial failure. Mr. Justice Adams remarked that it was Unfortunate that a solicitor of the court should have been concerned in racing matters which ultimately brought him into such a position. Bankrupt said it was a breeding farm at first, but he bought two racehorses later on in order to give a man a start in life. His Honour: But you put your finger in the fire. An order was granted conditional on debtor consenting to judgment for £250.
