PROFESSORIAL APPOINTMENT Press Association. DUNEDIN, Monday. Allen Arthur Orton, 8.A., M.Sc., at present assistant lecturer in mathematics and physics at the University of Western Australia, was appointed assistant to Professor R. J. F. Bell, Professor of Mathematics, at a meeting of the Otago University Council to-day. Though only 30 years of age, Mr. Orton has had a wide experience in the teaching of mathematics and is in addition a trained teacher.
